Welcome to Aussie VR Boxing
This website is a home for our world first publicly available and live updated fighter record database for TOTF2. Every AVRB League event is livestreamed on youtube and the records of each fight are updated immediately post fight. The AVRB Records have been developed as an entirely automated database that update as every fight is completed. The database was developed solely by Tren (with the help of some AI!)
The AVRB Records are an ELO based ranking system. What is the ELO system?
The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games such as chess or esports. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo, a Hungarian-American physics professor. Each fighter starts with a base score, and their rating rises or falls after every match depending on the outcome and the strength of their opponent. If a fighter wins against a higher-rated opponent, they gain more points; if they lose to a lower-rated opponent, they lose more points. The system uses a formula that compares the fighters’ ratings to predict the expected outcome and adjust the scores accordingly, ensuring the rankings reflect skill, consistency, and competitive performance over time.
AVRB Rankings : Amateur (<1450) -> Prospect (1450-1550) -> Contender (1551-1699) -> Champion (1700+)
Fight cards are 10 fights total with fighters matched up with equal ranking for fair matchmaking. Every fighter starts at 1500 AVRB elo and must climb through the AVRB ladder by defeating AVRB league fighters in the league. Any champion signed up to the card must fight another champion, or if another is not absent, they must fight the highest ranked contender available.
Note that the AVRB community is primarily located on our discord server, it is where we are most active. Make sure to check out the link at the bottom of the page to join us! Most of our events are exclusive to AU/NZ players, but we do have some unique community events and planning a US tournament soon!
